Nursery Step 1
Baby Shaffer's nursery has officially been painted. And for those that think painting is easy, or fun- you are my new best friend! My mom was nice enough to come down and help me paint the nursery and there are a few things we learned:
1. Previous yellow walls + new green paint = an undesired blue color
2. When you discover the above equation, you then need to prime the walls, which apparently takes two layers of Kilz to really cover that persistent yellow
3. When purchasing paint at Lowe's, don't look over at the wall of 1000s of colors, it will only make you doubt your choice!
4. Dogs will always find a way to get paint on themselves as well
But, after all that, it turned out perfect and I really love the color, which is a light, bright green (if that makes any sense). Thanks again Mom!
