Pumpkin Patch

This being our first holiday season with Gracin, you have to realize I am a bit anxious to have her experience all of the "typical" holiday things.  First up- visiting a pumpkin patch.  So, we loaded up, went to a local pumpkin patch on a sunny day, and didn't get a single picture!  We made it there alright, but the sun was SO bright that Gracin wouldn't smile with the sun in her eyes. However, when I turned her around, there were shadows... and there were fire ants... and there were people walking around that were distractions for Gracin... and so on!  And as other mothers know,  that window of time for baby happiness came and went.  But, seeing my dissapointment after leaving, Cory later brought the pumpkin patch to us!  He went to get some pumpkins, picked up a haybale, and after another nap and another feeding, Gracin was as good as new.  And I have to say, I think pictures turned out great!

Happy 6 months, Gracin!

My little darling, well, my 13lb-10oz little darling is getting so big.  She has now started on rice cereal, her 6 month onsies are starting to fight just a little tight, and her first tooth has started coming up!  I think one wonderful thing about babies is that they are so amazed with anything and everything.  Gracin is so content  to just sit and watching the busy and exciting world around her.  She is also getting so good at sitting up, and believe me, cradling her in your arms like you would a little baby is no longer acceptable!  Gracin loves to sit in your lap, but she needs to be facing outwards.  We also got her a swing that we put up in the backyard which she is still a little bit too little for, but she has a great time swinging in it.  I have some pics of her first bites of rice cereal and some other new pics from the past month:
